Za nami jubileuszowa, 10. edycja konkursu NPOTY, który co roku nagradza najciekawsze zdjęcia natury z całego świata. W tym roku zwycięża malownicze zdjęcia norwega Åsmund Keilen, ale na uwagę zasługuje cała finałowa galeria, w której nie zabrakło również fotografów z Polski.
Konkurs Nature Photographer of the Year co roku przyciąga setki zgłoszeń od profesjonalistów i amatorów z całego świata. Tegoroczna, jubileuszowa edycja nagradzała zdjęcia w ramach 12. kategoriach pojedynczych i osobnej sekcji portfolio. Swoją własna nagrodę przyznała także publiczność.
Grand Prix

Tytuł fotografa roku i główną nagrodę w wysokości 3 tys. euro zdobyło malownicze zdjęcie norweskiego fotografa Åsmunda Keilena, przedstawiające jerzyka na tle słońca odbitego w karoserii samochodu pokrytej nasionami brzozy.
Zwycięskie zdjęcia jest efektem wielokrotnej ekspozycji, przypominając nam, że w fotografii przyrody także jest miejsce na dużą kreatywność. Zdjęcie zajęło również 1. miejsce w kat. Birds.
Polacy wśród wyróżnionych

Miło nam również poinformować, że wśród laureatów Nature Photographer of the Year znaleźli się również Polacy. Mocno graficzna, czarno-biała praca Mateusza Matysiaka zajęła 2. miejsce w kategorii Black & White, z kolei zdjęcia Marcina Giby i Tomasza Szpili zdobyły specjalne wyróżnienia w kategoriach Mammals i Nature Art.
